  • Riscoprire ritmi di vita più lenti nel cuore di Xizha

    Ho deciso deliberatamente di ritagliarmi tre giorni per una fuga a Wuzhen. Invece di scegliere una pensione alla moda affacciata sulla strada, ho soggiornato presso Dockside Boutique Hotel Tongxiang, situato proprio nel cuore dell'area panoramica di Xizha. Mi aspettavo semplicemente un posto dove dormire qualche notte in riva all'acqua, ma una volta sistemato, la tensione accumulata nella vita quotidiana è svanita completamente.
    Sono arrivato in hotel a bordo di una barca a remi al crepuscolo; mentre il remo fendeva l'acqua, le lanterne rosse lungo le rive si accendevano una dopo l'altra, diffondendo il loro bagliore caldo sulle increspature, mentre la brezza trasportava il profumo dolce e umido dell'osmanto, una fragranza tipica di Wuzhen. Allo sbarco, una donna sorridente con un grembiule in tessuto di cotone blu stampato mi ha accolto prendendo in consegna la mia valigia. Percorrendo il sentiero in pietra blu verso l'hotel, il lieve rumore dei miei passi sulla pietra si mescolava ai suoni flebili e lontani della narrazione *Pingtan*; i messaggi di lavoro in sospeso sul telefono sono stati immediatamente dimenticati.

Anche i più piccoli dettagli quotidiani trasmettono il fascino delicato e soave della regione di Jiangnan. La biancheria da letto, dalla consistenza simile al lino, offriva una sensazione di freschezza e benessere sulla pelle; dopo un'intera giornata trascorsa a esplorare Xizha, abbandonarsi a quel letto ha permesso ai muscoli indolenziti di rilassarsi e sciogliersi lentamente. In passato consideravo Wuzhen semplicemente una meta turistica da spuntare in una lista di desideri, ma questo viaggio mi ha insegnato altro: Dockside Boutique Hotel Tongxiang offre molto più di un semplice posto dove dormire; è un rifugio accogliente dove rallentare davvero e ritrovare la pace. La prossima volta che avrò bisogno di fuggire dai ritmi frenetici della vita, questo sarà il primo luogo in cui tornerò.

  • Assaporando i ritmi lenti delle città d'acqua del Jiangnan

    Per questo soggiorno a Wuzhen, ho scelto deliberatamente il Dockside Boutique Hotel Tongxiang, situato nel cuore dell'area panoramica di Xizha, preferendolo alle vivaci pensioni affacciate sulla strada principale. Dopo tre notti trascorse lì, mi sono reso conto che l'hotel aveva saputo infondere l'essenza pacata e rilassata delle città d'acqua del Jiangnan in ogni dettaglio dell'esperienza dell'ospite, rendendolo una delle tappe più memorabili dei miei recenti viaggi brevi.

Il bagno è dotato di impianti moderni a temperatura costante che garantiscono acqua calda immediata; dopo la doccia, avvolti in un accappatoio in tessuto stampato blu e bianco realizzato su misura, ci si può affacciare alla finestra per ammirare la vista notturna mentre la brezza trasporta il profumo dei fiori di osmanto di Wuzhen. Soggiornare presso Dockside Boutique Hotel Tongxiang mi ha fatto capire che il modo migliore per vivere il Jiangnan non è correre da un luogo all'altro, ma trovare un rifugio nascosto tra i canali, rallentare i ritmi e lasciare che il fascino delicato della cittadina sull'acqua si intrecci gradualmente con la propria vita.
